Mr. Peter Obi, the Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party during the 2023 General Election, emphasized the importance of continuous prayer among Christians for Nigeria’s progress and prosperity.

During a special Christmas visit to the residence of oil mogul Dr. Michael Onuoha at Umunakara community in Imo’s Nwangele Local Government Area, Obi urged Christians not to waver in their hope for Nigeria’s betterment.

Acknowledging Dr. Onuoha as a close family friend, the former Anambra governor highlighted the purpose of his visit, expressing gratitude for the warm reception and clarifying that his presence was a personal, informal gesture to celebrate the yuletide season with the Onuoha family.

“This is a personal visit to see my friend, Chief Michael Onuoha. Despite the unannounced nature of my visit, the warm reception is overwhelming. I extend my appreciation to Chief Michael Onuoha, his wonderful family, and the community for hosting me. I’ll certainly visit again,” Obi stated.

Emphasizing the significance of the season as a symbol of love, Obi stressed the importance of displaying love towards fellow citizens and the nation as a whole. He encouraged unwavering prayers for Nigeria’s prosperity.

In response, Chief Michael Onuoha expressed gratitude for Obi’s visit, lauding the ex-governor’s humility and leadership qualities that set him apart from other Nigerian leaders.

“We’re delighted to have you here during this festive period. Your unannounced visit drew enthusiasm, indicating your esteemed leadership. Let’s continue to believe in Nigeria and pray earnestly for our nation’s unity, progress, and stability. Thank you for gracing us with your presence,” Onuoha expressed.

The visit concluded on a note of unity and hope, echoing the sentiments of fostering national solidarity and advancement through collective prayers and goodwill.
