Men of the Nigerian Police Force have arrested a 23 year old girl who allegedly stole a Jeep, phone, watch and other valuables worth N1 million.
According to a statement released by the Police Public Relations Officer, Lagos State, DSP Bala Elkana, on October 21, 2019 at about 10 00hours, Ikeja Police Station received a complaint from one Mr Patric that one Deborah Nwachukwu who is 23 years old had stolen his Jeep and other valuables.
Deborah is an indigene of Abia State and she resides at No 19 Irewale Street, Ipade area, Lagos . She stole a Toyota Jeep, two Samsung S10, wrist watch, designer perfume and some cash from Mr Patrick at MKO Street off Toyin Street, Ikeja.
According to the complainant, he invited the suspect to help in cleaning up the house for him. According to the complainant, he met her at shoprite in Ikeja selling some cleaning products for a company around the Shoprite, and they agreed for N20,000 payment for her services.
The suspect however added that the invitation was not just for cleaning of the house but for sexual reasons. The suspect added that after having sex, she noticed that the complainant was far asleep and she quickly took his two phones, Wrist watch, designer perfume, some cash and his Jeep and escaped from the house after locking him up in the room.
A team of detectives, led by the Divisional Police Officer, Ikeja CSP Gbenga Ogunsaki arrested the suspect and recovered the stolen items.
The suspect has been charged to Court and remanded in correctional custody.
