A pastor at the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC), Ogijo, in Sagamu Local Government area of Ogun State, was on Sunday arrested for having an Easter Service, in defiance to government’s COVID-19 lockdown directive.

The pastor, Jonathan Olowonisile, was arrested alongside his associate and two others.

Worshippers in the service fled immediately they sighted policemen from Ogijo police station.

The Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi confirmed the arrest.

Oyeyemi said the pastor was nabbed for leading a congregation contrary to the ban on mass gathering and he would be made to face the consequences of his action.
