PDP’s gubernatorial candidate in Osun state, Senator Nurudeen Adeleke was arrested and taken into custody on Monday evening by men of the Nigeria Police Force. This morning he was brought before a Magistrate Court sitted in Mpape, Abuja.
According to the spokesperson of the police, Mr Mba Frank, he claimed that Senator Adeleke was taken into custody in connection with ongoing criminal investigations on his person.
The Ademola Adeleke Governorship Campaign Organisation, however, had a slightly different report regarding the lawmaker’s arrest.
They claimed that the police detained the parliamentarian on old trumped up charges of certificate and testimonial forgery.
