PREGNANT WOMAN CRUSHED TO DEATH IN IBADAN

It was a blue Wednesday in the Molete area of Ibadan, Oyo State. On this day, a pregnant woman met her death untimely when trying to cross the road.

The sad incident took place under the Molete bridge as eye witnesses told us that the pregnant woman and a few other people tried crossing the road when the pregnant woman tripped and fell before being crushed by an impatient on rushing and unregistered DAF 85 truck.

The remains of the victim was deposited in the morgue of the Oyo State specialist hospital at Adeoyo, Ibadan by officials of the Federal Road Safety Corps.

Mr Seun Onijala, the Deputy Route commander and the spokesperson of the FRSC did all but confirm the accident and also used the medium to reassure people that competent officials have been deployed to clear any obstruction which could lead to traffic.

The unregistered DAF 85 truck driver has been arrested and detained by the Police.
