President Bola Ahmed Tinubu Makes Key Appointments in Government

In a significant move, President Bola Tinubu has unveiled a series of high-profile appointments within his government.

Former Benue State Governor, Senator George Akume, has been chosen to serve as the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF). This appointment highlights Akume’s wealth of experience and expertise in governance.

Additionally, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, has been entrusted with the crucial role of Chief of Staff, reflecting the President’s confidence in his leadership abilities.

Gbajabiamila’s vast knowledge of legislative processes and strong political acumen make him an ideal choice for this position.

Furthermore, Senator Ibrahim Hadejia, a former Deputy Governor of Jigawa State, has been named the Deputy Chief of Staff. With his extensive background in public service, Senator Hadejia is well-suited to support the Chief of Staff in carrying out key administrative duties.

The official announcement of these appointments was made by Abiodun Oladunjoye, Director of Information at the State House, Abuja.

The President revealed his selections during a meeting with the Progressive Governors Forum (PGF) held at the Council Chamber in the Presidential Villa, emphasizing the importance of collaboration and unity in advancing the nation’s agenda.

Notably, Senator George Akume brings with him a wealth of experience, having previously served as the Minister of Special Duties under former President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration.

This background positions him well to fulfill his responsibilities as the SGF and contribute to the President’s vision for the country’s development.
President Tinubu’s appointments reflect his commitment to assembling a capable and diverse team to steer the affairs of the nation.

As his administration takes shape, these appointments mark an important step in the ongoing process of building an effective and efficient government that will work tirelessly for the betterment of Nigeria.
