President Muhammadu Buhari has granted his approval for the appointment of Engr (Dr) Baba Aliyu Haruna as the Rector of Federal Polytechnic, Bida.

The announcement was made through a personal letter issued and signed by the Minister of Education, Alhaji Adamu Adamu, and shared with the press on Wednesday in Minna, the capital of Niger state.

Engr (Dr) Baba Aliyu Haruna’s appointment as Rector will officially commence on May 21 and will be valid for a period of five years.

The Minister conveyed President Buhari’s approval, stating, “I am writing to inform you that Mr. President, His Excellency Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, has approved your appointment as the Rector of Federal Polytechnic, Bida, Niger State.”

The Minister further mentioned that the terms and conditions of Engr (Dr) Baba Aliyu Haruna’s service, including remuneration and fringe benefits, will be in accordance with the approved guidelines for Rectors of Federal Polytechnics.

President Buhari extended his congratulations to the newly appointed Rector and expressed his best wishes for a successful tenure in office.
Prior to his new role, Engr (Dr) Baba Aliyu Haruna served as the Director of Quality Assurance at the Federal Polytechnic, Bida.

Grateful for the appointment, the new Rector expressed his appreciation to President Buhari and pledged his commitment to elevating the standards of the polytechnic to new heights.
