PRESIDENT BUHARI SENDS LIST OF NOMINATED MINISTERS TO THE SENATE FOR APPROVAL

President Muhammadu Buhari has finally forwarded a list of 43 nominees for ministerial seats to the Senate for confirmation on Tuesday morning.

On the list announced by Senate President Ahmed Lawan are former ministers Babatunde Fashola, Rotimi Amaechi, Ogbonnaya Onu, Adamu Adamu from Bauchi state, Senator Chris Ngige from Anambra state.

Others include, Governor Rauf Aregbesola of Osun state, George Akume of Benue state, Timipre Sylva of Bayelsa state, Adeniyi Adebayo from Ekiti state.

Some of the people whose names are new in the register include, Senator Godswill Akpabio from Akwa Ibom state, Sunday Dare from Oyo state, Festus Keyamo from Delta state, Sharon Ikeazor from Anambra state, Senator Tayo Alasoadura from Ondo state, Senator Gbemisola Saraki from Kwara state and Olorunnibe Mamora from Lagos state.

However, there are some notable ministers who were seen as kitchen cabinet members of the President in his first tenure who are missing in the new list.
Prominent among them are former minister of Interior, Abdulrahman Dambazau and Minister of Sports Solomon Dalung.

Lawan announced that the screening exercise of the above listed nominees commences tomorrow.
