The Presidential Transition Council, headed by Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd), has received approval from the President to oversee the 2023 transition program.
Additionally, the president signed Executive Order No. 14 of 2023 on the Management and Facilitation of Presidential Changes.
One important aspect of Presidential Executive Order No. The institutionalization of a legal framework that would make it possible for power to be transferred seamlessly from one presidential administration to another is Section 14 of 2023.
Willie Bassey, Director of Information for the Office of the Secretary General of the Federation, said in a statement on Thursday that the SGF, Boss Mustapha, had been chosen by the president to lead the council.
The SGF would appoint the Council’s first members on February 14, 2023.
Head of the Federation’s Civil Service is one of the committee’s members; Permanent Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Justice and Solicitor General of the Federation; Permanent Secretaries from the Ministries and Offices Listed Below: Federal Capital Territory Administration, Special Duties and Intergovernmental Affairs, Defense, Interior, Finance, Budget and National Planning, Foreign Affairs, Information and Culture, Special Duties and Intergovernmental Affairs, Cabinet Affairs Office, General Services Office, Economic and Political Affairs Office, Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, and State House.
Others are: the Chief of Staff and Adviser for National Security; a police inspector general; National Intelligence Agency Director-General; General Manager of the State Security Services; The Chief Registrar of the Nigerian Supreme Court and two representatives who will be appointed by the incoming President.
