President Muhammadu Buhari has approved that the Board of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) be reconstituted.

This decision was reached after the expiration of the term of the board members appointed in 2016.

Members of the new Board include, Mohammed Lawal from the North West, Tajudeen Umar from North East, Adamu Mahmood Attah from the North Central, Senator Magnus Abe from South-South, Dr Stephen Dike from South East, and Chief Pius Akinyelure from South West.

This was contained in a brief statement signed by Mr Femi Adesina, the President’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina on Saturday.

The statement added that the new board will be in place for three years.
