President Tinubu Approves Student Loan Bill, Providing Interest-Free Loans to Nigerian Students

President Bola Tinubu has given his assent to the Student Loan Bill, granting Nigerian students the opportunity to obtain loans at interest-free rates.

The announcement was made by Dele Alake, an aide to the president, during a briefing with State House Correspondents on Monday evening.

This bill, which recently passed its second reading at the House of Representatives on May 25, 2023, aims to alleviate the financial burden on students by facilitating easier access to affordable loans.

With the president’s signature, the legislation is now officially law, providing a valuable means of support for aspiring Nigerian scholars.
