President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is set to swear in seven newly appointed ministers on Monday, following the recent confirmation of their appointments by the Senate. Presidential aide Bayo Onanuga announced the upcoming event on Sunday.
Among the new ministers are Dr. Nentawe Yilwatda, who will oversee Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, and Muhammadu Maigari Dingyadi, who takes on the role of Minister of Labour & Employment. Other appointees include Bianca Odinaka Odumegwu-Ojukwu as Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Dr. Jumoke Oduwole, who will head the Ministry of Industry, Trade, and Investment.
Additionally, Idi Mukhtar Maiha has been appointed Minister of Livestock Development, Yusuf Abdullahi Ata as Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development, and Dr. Suwaiba Said Ahmad as Minister of State for Education. These appointments reflect a strategic move to strengthen the administration’s agenda across key sectors.
The new appointments follow the Senate’s confirmation last week, along with the recent removal of five ministers from President Tinubu’s cabinet. The swearing-in of these new officials marks a significant reshuffling aimed at advancing the administration’s goals.
