The Senate has approved the nomination of the 43 ministerial nominees forwarded to it last week by President Muhammadu Buhari as ministers of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
All nominees were approved in the committee of the whole after a clause by clause consideration of the 43 nominees.
The highlight of the show was when the former minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed asked the national assembly to ignore what many Nigerians call him, noting that his name is not Lie Muhammed but ‘Lai Mohammed’.
Mr Lai who appeared to be screened like any other ministerial nominee appointed by President Muhammadu Buhari at the national assembly, on Tuesday, pleaded with the senate not to believe what his critics call him, saying that they are bad eggs.
