Sol Campbell Urges Arsenal To Sign Victor Osimhen for Premier League Glory

In a recent interview, former Arsenal defender Sol Campbell advocated strongly for the Gunners to pursue the signing of Napoli’s Nigerian striker, Victor Osimhen, in the upcoming January transfer window.

Campbell, expressing his confidence in Osimhen’s potential to bolster Arsenal’s pursuit of the Premier League title, emphasized the impact a player of Osimhen’s caliber could bring to the team. While Arsenal vied for the title during the 2022/23 season, they fell short with their striking options, Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah.

Highlighting Osimhen’s remarkable record with Napoli, where he scored 26 goals and provided four assists in 32 Serie A matches, ultimately securing Napoli’s first league title in over three decades, Campbell stressed Osimhen’s prowess. Notably, Osimhen’s 31 goals in 39 games across all competitions in the 2022/23 season showcased his exceptional talent.

Making history as the first African player in 125 years to clinch the Serie A’s top scorer title for a single season further underlined Osimhen’s extraordinary capabilities.

Campbell firmly believes Osimhen would be an ideal addition to Arsenal’s striking force as they aim to contend for the Premier League crown once more. While acknowledging the potential cost, Campbell advocated considering Osimhen’s prowess, suggesting that securing a center forward like him could significantly enhance Arsenal’s prospects in their pursuit of league success.
