In a display of solidarity and regional unity, Governors Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, Dapo Abiodun of Ogun, Biodun Oyebanji of Ekiti, and Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos convened on Tuesday for a special visit to Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State. Their destination was Akeredolu’s Jericho residence in the vibrant city of Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State.
Prior to this heartfelt visit, the governors of Ogun, Lagos, and Ekiti commenced their day by paying a courteous visit to their esteemed counterpart, Governor Seyi Makinde, at the governor’s office in Ibadan. From there, they embarked on a joint journey, forming a convoy as they made their way to meet Governor Akeredolu.
The primary aim of this visit was to personally check in on Governor Akeredolu. After his return to Nigeria from a three-month medical leave in Germany on September 7, he has been recuperating at his Ibadan residence. This gesture of camaraderie and support was carried out discreetly, away from the prying eyes of journalists and cameras. Shortly after their visit, the governors bid adieu to Ibadan, carrying with them the spirit of unity and solidarity within the Southwest region.
