The House of Representatives’ Speaker, Tajudeen Abbas, strongly condemned recent assaults on communities in Bokkos and Barkin-Ladi Local Government Areas of Plateau State just before Christmas. Unverified reports suggest that approximately 115 individuals have tragically lost their lives within the past 72 hours due to assailants in Plateau State. In response to these disturbing events, Abbas, through a statement from his Media and Publicity Special Adviser, Musa Krishi, characterized these attacks as cruel and atrocious. Expressing deep concern over the recurring attacks by gunmen, bandits, and other criminals who senselessly take the lives of innocent Nigerians, he urged security and intelligence agencies to prevent further loss of lives and property in Plateau and across the nation. He further implored them to pursue and bring to justice those responsible for these despicable acts. Speaker Abbas declared, “Nigeria has endured far too many losses in lives and property due to these attacks, and this trend must end immediately.” In solidarity with the people and government of Plateau State, he offered prayers for the souls of the departed and solace for their grieving families.Share this:Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window)Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) Related
