Yoruba nation advocate, Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho, has come back to Nigeria to lay his mother to rest. His spokesperson, Olayomi Koiki, shared the news in a video announcement on Wednesday.
Koiki confirmed Igboho’s journey to Igboho Town for the final rites of his mother, Mrs. S.A. Adeyemo. He stated that her body was retrieved from the mortuary in Saki Town a few hours earlier.
In 2021, Igboho was apprehended by security forces in Benin Republic, following allegations by the Department of State Services of arms stockpiling, which he refuted. His arrest occurred at the Cardinal Bernardin International Airport in Cotonou, as he attempted to travel to Germany. However, in October 2023, Igboho declared his legal freedom to depart Cotonou for Nigeria and other countries after two years of trial by the Beninese government.
