Aloy Ejimakor, the Special Counsel to Nnamdi Kanu, the Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has announced that the Supreme Court will hear Kanu’s appeal on Thursday.

The appeal concerns the detention of Kanu, who has been in the custody of the Department of State Services (DSS) since June 2021.

The appellate court dismissed the six-count charge against him on October 13, 2022, prompting Kanu to approach the Supreme Court.

Ejimakor urged the Supreme Court to be guided by equity, justice, and good conscience, saying that it is time for the grave injustice that was done to Kanu almost two years ago to be undone.
