Four individuals were affirmed dead in a different mishap including a tanker and two vehicles at Lafenwa area of Abeokuta in Ogun on Friday night.

Mrs Florence Okpe, the Public Education Officer, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Ogun, affirmed the episode to newsmen on Saturday.

Okpe said that the mishap was brought about by speeding with respect to the Tanker driver.

She added that the mishap included a Tanker checked T-15321LA, a BMW vehicle with enlistment number TTD 421 CX and an unregistered Nissan jeep.

“The tanker driver was attempting to make a turning at the Lafenwa Traffic circle, let completely go and slammed into two vehicles and wall of a structure.

“The departed were standing by the wall before they were caught.

“The substance spilled however was rapidly transloaded into one more truck with the assistance of fire administration and other traffic chiefs,” Okpe said.

She said that the FRSC Sector Commander in the state, Ahmed Umar, communicated bitterness over the episode.

“The sector commander is really pained over the imprudence of some transporters, who wouldn’t think about other street clients,” the corps public Education Officer said.

Okpe further explained that the deceased have been removed by their families, potentially for internment.
