The family of Emiliano Sala have begged the police to reconsider calling off the search for the missing Cardiff City striker.
The search and rescue efforts resumed for a third day early on Thursday after the Piper Malibu aircraft with Sala and pilot David Ibbotson on board went missing on it’s way to Cardiff on Monday. The police have confirmed that there’s no trace of Sala nor the aircraft. The Harbour master has said that the chances of survival at this stage is very slim.
Sala’s family, however believe it is too soon to have the search stopped.
Sala’s sister, Romina speaking with the ESPN has openly said she’s very confused. She only prays that her brother in company of the pilot be found alive. She used the opportunity to plead with the authorities not to stop the search but to intensify efforts.
Sala’s father, Horacio, also urged Guernsey Police to reconsider their decision he has further asked to please keep looking for his son
Cardiff chairman, Mehmet Dalman stated Sala made his own travel arrangements as against the plans thr club had for him.
Nantes supporters held vigils in the striker’s honour in the French city, while their scheduled Coupe de France fixture against Entente SSG was postponed.
