Thierry Henry gets suspended by Monaco

Monaco head coach, Thierry Henry has been suspended by the board of the French football club until a final decision is made on his future with the club. Prolific Arsenal legend, Henry, joined Monaco in October 2018 following the departure of Leonardo Jardim.

Reports have it that Monaco are new in talks with former manager, Leonardo Jardim to replace Henry who has manged only five victories in three months in charge of the French club. Monaco have their glory days behind them are they currently sit in the relegation zone, 2 points away from safety.

Monaco are yet to win at home under the tutelage of Henry and they recorded an embarrassing 3-1 defeat to league 2 side, Metz, in a French cup. Prior to the game against Metz, they played against a well organised strasbourg side and lost 5-1. Monaco are yet to win a home game since May 2018.

Thierry Henry was forced to apologise for insulting strasbourg defender, Kenny Lala as he was caught on camera hurling abusive words at Lala as he delayed a throw-in with strasbourg leading 2-1. Henry’s assistant, Franck Passi, who was a caretaker boss of Merseiile and Lille will train the boys ahead of a home league match against Toulouse on February 2.
