Three men, identified as Abdullahi Alimi, Oladipupo Fagbe, and Rasaq Alimi, have been remanded in the Kirikiri Correctional Centre by the Ikeja Magistrates’ Court. The defendants, aged 44, 43, and 21 respectively, are facing charges of armed robbery, conspiracy, stealing, receiving stolen property, and robbery.During the court proceedings on Friday, Magistrate Mrs A. Akinyemi ordered that the defendants not enter their pleas and instructed that the case file be sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions for further advice. The magistrate also adjourned the case until July 26 to await the DPP’s response.According to the prosecutor, DSP Chinalu Nwadione, the defendants, along with accomplices who are currently at large, committed the alleged offences on April 13 at Ogba Road, Agege, Lagos. It is alleged that armed with knives, they forcefully robbed Mr Musa Ganiyu of N20,000. Additionally, the defendants are accused of stealing 504 cartons of origin bitters worth N4.5 million, which belonged to Fafem Haulage Nigeria Ltd.Furthermore, Nwadione stated that the defendants were found to be in possession of five cartons of origin bitters worth N45,000, suspected to be stolen property.The charges brought against the defendants are in violation of sections 411, 297, 287, and 329 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.Share this:Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window)Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) Related
