TINUBU ABSENT AS PRESIDENT BUHARI ARRIVES LAGOS TO INAUGURATE PROJECTS

President Muhammadu Buhari is presently in Lagos to inaugurate some projects. Fomer Governor of Lagos state and National Leader of the All Progressive Congress, Bola Tinubu, was conspicuously absent as the President pays a day visit to Lagos State on Wednesday.

Tinubu was reported to be out of the country with some prominent members of the APC.

President Buhari landed at the Presidential Wing of the Murtala Muhammed Airport, Lagos at exactly 10.32 a.m on Wednesday amid tight security.

Buhari arrived aboard a Nigerian Air Force Boeing aircraft with registration number 5N-FGT. He was received with a dance by cultural troupe and a Presidential Guard of Honour.

Prominent figures were present at the airport to receive the President amongst whom are, Governor Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos State, Oyo State Governor, Abiola Ajimobi; Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State and the Deputy Governor of Edo, Phillip Shuaibu

Others include Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Lagos State Governor-elect and his deputy, Obafemi Hamzat.

The President is expected to commission the 10-lane Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA) road; The Oshodi Transport Interchange; the 820 Air-conditioned new buses; the 170-bed Mother and Child Hospital; amongst others.
