Tottenham have completed the signing of Southampton midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg for an initial fee of £15million.
The 25-year-old Denmark has signed a five-year contract at Spurs with Jose Mourinho clinching his first signing of the summer window.
Hojbjerg was stripped of the captaincy at the south coast club after he informed them he would not be signing a new contract and spent much of the resumption of the 2019-20 campaign out of the side.
He’s been on Tottenham’s radar since January, with Mourinho eager to get a deal over the line for the former Bayern Munich man.
Both Spurs and Everton opened talks with Hojbjerg last month, but it soon became apparent that he favoured a move to north London over Merseyside.
