TRADITIONAL RULERS PROMISE TO WORK FOR PEACE AFTER A VIOLENT DISPUTE

As a component of endeavours to facilitate harmony and re-establish solidarity between Erin-Osun and Ilobu, Governor Adegboyega Oyetola on Monday held a peace meeting with the conventional leaders of the two towns.

The Elerin of Erin-Osun, Oba Yusuff Omoloye Oyagbodun II and the Olobu of Ilobu, Oba Ashiru Olatoye Olaniyan II, the two conventional rulers whose communities have been entangled in vicious conflicts since Saturday have now vowed to cooperate to accomplish enduring harmony in their areas.

At the gathering which likewise had in participation the Olufon of Ifon, Oba Almoroof Adekunle Magbagbeola, the rulers promised to influence their kin to shun viciousness and embrace harmony, in light of a legitimate concern for all.

The conflict between the two communities had begun during the end of the week
