TWO ROBBERS NABBED IN OYO SECRETARIAT

TWO suspected robbers, were on Wednesday nabbed at Oyo State Secretariat, Ibadan, for stealing the sum of N500,000 from a car parked within the secretariat.

The robbers were reported to have trailed the victim to the Bureau of physical planning and development control from a bank where she just withdrew the said amount.

The victim after suspecting that she was being trailed, immediately raised an alarm and the robbers were quick to break her side glass and eloped with the money.

Upon the alarm, the robbers who took to their heels were given a hot chase by persons within the Secretariat until they were caught. Eyewitnesses, however, noted that the aside from the two caught, one other person who participated in the robbery escaped over the fence.

Mr Gbenga Fadeyi, the Oyo state Police Public Relations Officer, has released the names of the suspected robbers as Adebayo Ade and Ayo Bolanle. He added that the suspected robbers were caught in the possession of several ATM cards, phones and a Lexus Jeep, and are currently at the Agodi police station, Ibadan.
