University of Ibadan Muslim Graduates Association Honors VP, Shettima for Service and Achievements

The University of Ibadan Muslim Graduates Association (UIMGA) recently recognized prominent figures like Vice President Kashim Shettima and Senators Sharafadeen Alli and Yunus Akintunde for their unwavering support to the university’s Muslim community and outstanding contributions to society. This distinguished honor, part of an array of accolades celebrating 21 individuals, commends their remarkable accomplishments, ambassadorial roles, and contributions to both the university and Nigeria.

Vice President Kashim Shettima, acknowledged for his exceptional leadership and dedication, attributed his success to the foundational values instilled during his time studying political science at the University of Ibadan. Represented by his Special Assistant, Shettima emphasized the pivotal role of education and collaborative efforts in steering the nation toward a prosperous future.

Senator Sharafadeen Alli, Chairman of the Senate Committee on Electoral Matters, expressed gratitude for the recognition, viewing it as validation for his public service endeavors. He pledged to further his commitment to enhancing the lives of his constituents and the nation at large.

Alhaji Idris Ismail, extending congratulations to the awardees, highlighted their influential leadership within their constituencies and alumni circles, underscoring their substantial contributions and the pride they’ve brought to the University of Ibadan.

The esteemed list of awardees also includes notable personalities such as Oba (Prof.) Saka Matemilola, Oba Semiudeen Kasali, and Prof. Amudalat Olaniyan, each recognized for their commendable roles and accomplishments in their respective fields.
