Victor Osimhen opens up on potential exit from Napoli


Victor Osimhen, a target for Manchester United, has said he might leave Napoli in the summer, giving Erik ten Hag a big boost in his quest for the No. 9 position.

The striker, who is valued at £107 million, has been on fire this season, scoring 19 goals and providing four assists in 23 games.

One of the most promising forwards in international football right now is the Nigerian, along with Man United striker Marcus Rashford, and Napoli will undoubtedly be attacked from all angles in the summer.

Osimhen is presently driving Napoli on a mission for their first Serie A title in quite a while, and albeit the 24-year-old remaining parts centered in Italy, he wouldn’t commit his future there.
Osimhen stated, “When you are doing so well, top clubs around the world are watching, mostly in the top five leagues.”

“In addition, the fact that I am able to attract interest from these premier clubs demonstrates my success and inspires me to accomplish even more for myself and my team.

However, I am currently focused on Napoli, who control the outcome. I simply want to assist my team in winning games and trophies.

“We will see what will happen at the conclusion of the season, but that is not my responsibility. The club must make the decision.

With 18 of his 19 goals coming in the league, Osimhen is currently on track to win the Serie A Golden Boot. However, the striker insists that he is not concerned about winning any personal awards.

“Actually, being the most prolific goal scorer is not my primary goal. My personal goals are secondary to the team,” he added.

“It’s fine if I win it; however, what I want to do is try to win trophies with my team.” I don’t care who scores the most goals or who is named top scorer as long as the team wins.

Osimhen scored his 100th goal in 197 games last Friday in a victory over Sassuolo, faster than Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

He scored for the seventh time in a row in Serie A, a Napoli player record that dates back to 1995.
