World Bank Commends Anambra State Of Nigeria Over Efficient Delivery Of Projects

The World Bank has commended Anambra State, South Eastern Nigeria, over its excellent rate of project delivery of World Bank projects in the state. According to the country director of the bank, Mr. Rachid Benmessaou, the state emerged first in Nigeria in the areas of project delivery, monitoring, accountability, and transparency in its 2017 annual assessment.

Responding the Governor of the state, Mr. Willie Obiano, commended the bank for its efforts to introduce all-year-round farming in the state, through its FADAMA project. He also solicited assistance from the bank in the areas of fighting erosion, which he described as a big challenge confronting the state’s agricultural sector.
