Onnoghen suspension: Atiku accuses Buhari of violating constitution

The Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has thrown a jab at the Muhammadu Buhari led administration and has further described last week’s suspension of the Chief Justice of Nigeria, CJN, Walter Onnoghen by the president of the nation a breach of the 1999 Constitution.

Atiku speaking at the Shehu Yar’ Adua centre, Abuja while addressing a world press conference called on Nigerians to resist every attempt to of dictatorship and seek for democracy. He further promised that he would undo all the ills done by the present government if he comes out victorious at the February 16 elections.

Insisting he was trying not to blame CJN Onnoghen, Atiku insisted that the constitution has stipulated a due process of removing a judicial officer and this process needs to be followed.
