ALGERIA SET TO ANNOUNCE NEW GOVERNMENT

Reports had it that President Bouteflika was ready to drop any ambition of a fifth term in office. The Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika will not be departing any time soon, but there will be several changes made.

Algerian Prime Minister, Noureddine Bedoui on Thursday announced the formation of a new government which will commence no later than next week. He added that the new formed formation will be filled with technocrats.

Bedoui added further that the new government will tap into the skills of young men and women of the country and will be guided by the demands of the youth.

For weeks now, Algerians have taken to street to protest against a fifth term for the 82- year old President who has been in power since 1999.
