The Federal Government has declared Wednesday, May 1, 2019, as a public holiday to celebrate the 2019 Workers’ Day.
The declaration was made by The Minister of Interior, Lt Gen. Abdulrahman Dambazau on behalf of the Federal Government. He congratulated Nigerian workers for their commitment and sacrifice towards building a greater Nigeria.
According to a statement by the Permanent Secretary,Georgina Ehuriah, The Ministry of Interior commended the effort of workers at ensuring the full implementation of the policies and programmes of the government through efficient and effective service delivery to Nigerians and foreigners at large.
Dambazau further called on Nigerian workers to continually support the government’s effort at re-positioning the economy and moving it to the next level.
He also praised them for keeping faith with the President Muhammadu Buhari led administration that us set to build a better nation.
