Niger State Governor Orders Demolition of Chanchaga Police Station to Address Water Pipeline Obstruction


Niger State Governor Mohammed Bago has taken a decisive step to address a critical infrastructure issue by ordering the demolition of the Chanchaga police station in Minna. During his inaugural speech at the trade fair complex in Minna on Monday, Governor Bago highlighted that the police station’s location was obstructing the water pipeline, necessitating its immediate removal.

In his address, Governor Bago emphasized the significance of providing portable drinking water as a priority. He pointed out the unfortunate situation where a police station was situated atop the vital water pipeline. Consequently, he announced that the station would be marked for demolition to ensure the provision of safe drinking water for the people of Niger State.

Governor Bago also reassured the public of his administration’s unwavering commitment to tackling the state’s security challenges.
Recognizing the urgency and gravity of the situation, he pledged to uphold the constitutional principle of security and protect the lives and property of the citizens.

“We acknowledge the seriousness of security concerns, and we will address them with the utmost intensity and urgency, as enshrined in our constitution. We will staunchly defend this constitutional tenet and ensure that security receives the utmost attention in our administration,” Governor Bago stated.
