Osimhen Makes History with Goal in Empoli Victory

With his goal in Saturday’s 2-0 win over Empoli, Napoli’s in-form striker Victor Osimhen has become the second youngest player to score in eight consecutive Series A games.

The Nigerian international added one more goal to his tally in his previous seven league games.
The giants of Naples started the game on top, holding the ball and putting pressure on the Empoli defense, as was to be expected.

Victor Osimhen, Napoli’s powerful hitman, scored their second goal in the 28th minute.
After calmly getting first to a rebound and sending the ball into the net with just one touch to make it 2-0, the 24-year-old goal poacher displayed his striker’s instinct.

Six minutes later, Osimhen could have added his second goal of the game. However, Guglielmo Vicario made a remarkable stop to keep his shot out.

After the explosive performance in the first half, the lethal striker failed to score again, and Napoli won 2-0.

This season, Osimhen has scored 19 goals in Serie A.

Opta claims that his goal against Empoli makes him the second youngest player (24 years, 58 days) to score in eight straight games, behind only Roberto Muzzi (23 years, 165 for Cagliari in 1995).
