In the early hours of this morning, an unexpected fire incident occurred at the E54 Bridge of Murtala Muhammed International Airport Terminal One, leading to the diversion of all flight operations to the D Wing.
Smoke was detected billowing from the bridge, prompting swift action from electrical engineers who cut off power to the affected area. According to a statement by Mrs. Obiageli Orah Director, the fire was brought under control by 06:41 am, with initial investigations suggesting sparks from an electrical unit as a possible cause.
Efforts to ventilate the building are underway as authorities continue to investigate the incident further.
