BRITAIN TO BUILD PRISON WING IN LAGOS FOR REPATRIATED NIGERIA PRISONERS

The British government plans to spend nearly 700,000 pounds on a dedicated prison wing at Kirikiri prison in Lagos for repatriated Nigerian inmates.
There are today 270 Nigerian nationals in English and Welsh prisons, out of a total population of 84,373 prisoners according to British authorities.
A similar scheme proposed for Jamaica collapsed when the Jamaican government refused to cover the costs of running the dedicated prison facility
